How our pricing works
Coffee pricing involves a few industry-standard terms. Here is exactly what each means — and what your total cost will look like before you commit to anything.
Step 1
FOB — Free on Board
The price of the coffee at the origin port — before shipping begins. Think of it as the "farm gate" price. All the indicative price ranges shown on our product pages are FOB prices. This is your baseline cost for the coffee itself.
Step 2
CIF — Cost, Insurance & Freight
CIF = FOB price + ocean freight + cargo insurance to your named US destination port (e.g. Los Angeles, New York, Savannah). We can quote CIF if you prefer one figure that covers the full ocean leg.
Step 3
Landed cost — what you actually pay
Landed cost = FOB + ocean freight + insurance + CBP customs entry fees + port handling + delivery to your US warehouse or roastery. Green coffee carries 0% US import duty. We provide a full landed-cost breakdown on request — no surprises at the port, ever.
Good to know
Why prices fluctuate
Coffee commodity prices move with global harvests, weather events, currency exchange rates, and supply chain conditions. The ranges on our product pages reflect current market conditions and are updated regularly. Always request a live quote before placing an order.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about ordering, pricing, samples, and compliance — before you reach out.
  • What is the minimum order quantity? +
Our minimum commercial order is 1 jute bag (approximately 60 kg) for green coffee. For pallet orders the minimum is approximately 1,200 kg (~20 bags). Full-container (FCL) orders start at 17,000–21,000 kg. Not ready to commit? Start with a free sample — we ship 350 g to 1 kg to qualified US business addresses at no charge for the coffee itself.
  • Can I order a small trial quantity before committing to a larger shipment? +
Yes — and we encourage it. The process is simple: (1) request a free sample, (2) roast and evaluate, (3) place a trial lot order of 1 bag (~60 kg) if you are satisfied, (4) scale up from there. There is no pressure to jump to a full container. Many of our clients start with a single bag and grow naturally from that first order.
  • What is the price range for your green coffee beans? +
Indicative FOB prices range from approximately $4.90–$5.20/kg for Indian Robusta up to $8.00–$14.00/kg for Ethiopian Arabica specialty lots. Vietnam Robusta is currently trading at elevated levels ($4.40–$5.00/kg FOB) due to ongoing global supply conditions. These are starting ranges — contact us for a current, firm quote for your specific origin, grade, and volume. We respond within 2-3 business days.
  • What does "FOB" mean, and what will the coffee actually cost me landed in the US? +
FOB (Free on Board) is the price of the coffee at the origin port, before shipping. Your total landed cost in the US includes: FOB price + ocean freight + cargo insurance + CBP customs entry fees + domestic delivery to your warehouse. On request, we provide a full landed-cost breakdown so you know your exact per-kilogram cost before committing to anything. Green coffee beans currently carry a 0% US import duty, which keeps total costs competitive.
  • Do prices include import duties and customs clearance? Who handles FDA requirements? +
CBP (US Customs) — handled by InGain LLC as your Importer of Record (IOR):
InGain LLC acts as the Importer of Record for CBP purposes and manages all customs-related filings — ISF filing ("10+2"), CBP Entry Forms (3461/7501), customs bond, and coordination of Phytosanitary Certificates and Country of Origin documentation. Green coffee beans currently carry a 0% US import duty under HTS Chapter 09, so no duty cost is added to your landed price.
FDA & FSVP — your responsibility as the US buyer:
Under US law (FSMA — Food Safety Modernization Act), the FSVP importer is legally the US-based buyer — the person or company that purchases the food for US sale or distribution. This means you, as the buyer, are the FSVP importer of record with the FDA and are responsible for maintaining your Foreign Supplier Verification Program.

However, you are not on your own. Our founder Davit Ghazaryan holds a formal FSVP training certificate from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) — the FDA-recognized body for this training. We know the requirements inside out and work closely with every client to guide them clearly through what is needed, help prepare the relevant documentation, and ensure the entire process runs smoothly from first shipment onwards. Our transparent, hands-on approach means you always know exactly where you stand.
  • Do you offer better pricing for repeat or larger orders? +
Yes. Clients who commit to regular orders (monthly or quarterly) receive priority lot allocation, faster sourcing turnaround, and improved per-kilogram pricing on subsequent orders. Full-container (FCL) buyers receive our best available pricing. We are building long-term partnerships, not one-off transactions — and our pricing structure reflects that commitment.
  • Do you charge for samples? +
The coffee itself is on us — no charge for the sample product. You are responsible for the courier shipping fee, which is typically $30–60 to most US business addresses depending on your location. We work with B2B buyers only: roasters, café chains, private label brands, and wholesale distributors. Sample requests require a business email and company name.
  • Can I get a quote before committing to anything? +
Absolutely. Email us at info@ingainllc.com or use the contact form with your origin of interest, approximate volume, and preferred delivery terms (FOB or CIF US port). We respond to all inquiries within 2-3 business days with a detailed quote and full landed-cost breakdown. No commitment required at any stage.
  • What certifications do your suppliers hold? +
All active InGain LLC suppliers hold DUNS numbers registered with Dun & Bradstreet and are FDA-registered facilities. We personally guided each supplier through the US registration process. Third-party inspections (SGS and equivalent) are available on request for larger orders.

On the compliance knowledge side: our founder Davit Ghazaryan holds a formal FSVP training certificate from FSPCA (Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance), giving InGain deep insight into what US FDA expects from the supply chain. While you as the US buyer hold the legal FSVP importer role, our knowledge and experience means we can support you thoroughly at every step of the compliance process.
  • How long does shipping take from order to delivery in the US? +
Typical lead times from order confirmation to delivery at a US port or warehouse: India: 12–18 weeks · Vietnam: 10–16 weeks · Ethiopia: 16–22 weeks · Burundi: 17–23 weeks. These include preparation time at origin, ocean transit, and CBP customs clearance. We keep you updated with tracking and documentation at every stage.
  • What customs and compliance paperwork does InGain LLC handle? +
As your Importer of Record (IOR), InGain LLC handles all CBP (US Customs and Border Protection) requirements:

    • ISF filing (Importer Security Filing / "10+2") — filed 24 hours before vessel loading
    • CBP Entry Forms (3461 informal / 7501 formal)
    • Customs bond coordination
    • Phytosanitary certificates from the origin country
    • Country of Origin documentation

Regarding FDA / FSVP: Under US law, the FSVP importer is the US buyer — the legal entity purchasing the food for US distribution. InGain LLC does not act as the FDA FSVP importer; that responsibility belongs to you as the purchasing party. What we do is support you fully: our founder's FSPCA-certified FSVP training means we understand exactly what FDA requires, and we guide you step by step through your obligations so your first — and every — import goes smoothly.
  • Can you help me launch a private label coffee brand? +
Yes. Our Entrepreneur Setup tier is designed specifically for new and growing brands. Starting from approximately 1 pallet (~1,200 kg), we handle sourcing, CBP compliance documentation, and logistics. We also offer a Roast & Pack service (from 500 kg) with custom roasting and branded retail packaging — so your product arrives shelf-ready under your own label. Contact us to discuss your brand goals and we will recommend the right starting point.
